Spring is here…..finally

It’s been sooooo long this past winter here in supposedly sunny California. The best part of a season of rainy days is the spring flowers and waterfall hikes. I’ve yet to see a desert Super Bloom and this could be the year. Even though our nites are till a bit chilly (47-49 degrees F) the days are warming up. It’s time to pull the begonia’s out of their winter hot house and onto the front porch. Now, the weeding starts and fortifying the vegetable boxes go on the list of weekend projects. I usually plant herb, Lettuce, salsa and Italian gardens to stock my kitchen pantry. Being Itailan I believe in more is best, especially to feed an impromptu gathering in the backyard. This year Ill take up pizza making! Any tips or tricks appreciated here in the comments. For now, Im excite to see Asparagus, snap peas, avocados, and artichokes, strawberries, and arugula at my local farmers market. we say goodbye to Caracara oranges, clementines, winter squash, celery root, kiwi, persimmons, and Brussels sprouts. That’s the food downlow. Im excited to see whats inspiring to cook and will be sharing more recipes, and inspiration to master your kitchen skills on the way to A Pro-Aging life here!
